This initiative emerged from shared experiences across our community: travelers who accidentally offended locals without knowing why, hosts fearing guest's missteps could ruin relationships with neighbors, pet owners watching rental options disappear with no way to prove they know how to protect a host's home, and local communities wishing visitors realize that their street is a home, not an attraction.

Across every city, locals wish tourists understood their neighborhoods better. Businesses that once welcomed everyone are closing their doors to visitors entirely. And travelers genuinely want to do right but don't know what "right" looks like in unfamiliar cultures.

GoldenGuest exists to give all of us a voice – and to build bridges between our different worlds.
